Overview
The 8-day Lemosho Route is widely regarded as the most beautiful and best-acclimatized route on Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895m). Beginning on the remote western side of the mountain, this route offers low traffic, pristine wilderness, and gradual altitude gain, resulting in one of the highest summit success rates. Climbers traverse diverse ecosystems—from rainforest to alpine desert—before joining the Machame Route near Lava Tower for the final ascent to Uhuru Peak.
